For whatever reason, I've been entranced with the illustrations over at Google Patents ever since I discovered it. They're intended to be clinical and descriptive, however they hold a certain and unmistakable charm for me. I think of them as unintentional pieces of outsider art in and of themselves--and some of them would make much better framed posters than they would actual products. Below are five examples.
